March / April 2008 Newsletter
As springtime draws
near, New River Valley Magazine brings you a special double feature
for this issue. Back by popular demand, your nominations for the NRV’s
most eligible bachelors and bachelorettes are revealed. Making its
debut in our eighth issue is a special Home Improvement edition
featuring the NRV Homebuilders Association's 2008 Home Expo. You’ll
find articles on “green building,” home design, and “mulch” more, plus
the regular stories you enjoy – business, home and artist profiles,
and the extremely popular Lime Light section.
As we continue to grow and expand our coverage, our “family” here at
NRV Magazine continues to enlarge as well. Joanne Anderson, an
accomplished writer and local author, has recently been named as
editor. Through her guidance and expertise, our pool of writers has
expanded, our story content has improved, and thanks to her, our
magazine is coming out earlier than ever. We’ve also added Joe Scales
as an account executive to help manage our ever-increasing number of
advertisers.
While on the subject of expansion, check out our recently renovated
Web site. You can look at previous issues online in our archive, find
photos from the Lime Light section, or subscribe and have the magazine
delivered to your mailbox for only $20.00 per year. If you’re
interested in becoming a writer for our publication, read the writers
guidelines. Have a story idea? Click on Contact Us and send us an
e-mail. We look forward to hearing from you!
In just over a year, NRV Magazine has increased drastically in
distribution and content thanks to you. With eight issues under our
belt, we’re setting our sights higher than ever before and are
expecting great things, both for the NRV and our magazine, for the
upcoming months and years ahead. Thank you for being our inspiration
for what we do. |
